Marius Dewar is a Research Associate in the Institute of Mechanical, Process and Energy Engineering at Heriot-Watt University. He is involved in the development of in-house and community multi-phase, multi-scale, turbulent ocean numerical models for gas and liquid plume interactions, dissolution and distribution to simulate the risk from a leakage of carbon dioxide in the North Sea and surrounding waters from potential future carbon storage sites. He has been working in this field since 2010 and has worked in a number of national and international projects including QICS, ECO2 and SECURE.
