Dr Angus I. Best is Head of Marine Geoscience at the UK’s National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, and leads Marine Geophysics research, specialising in sediment and rock physical properties studies. His research interests involve laboratory studies aimed at improving joint seismic and electrical geophysical methods for sub-seafloor quantification including: CO2 reservoir and overburden properties, seafloor methane hydrates, hydrocarbon reservoirs, slope stability assessment, and deep sea mineral characterisation. He has over 20 years research experience.
